In 1966 Cletus Hobbs started a small family-owned garage door business in Chesapeake, Virginia. Over time, his three sons joined the business.
Through major construction booms in the 1980’s and 1990’s, the business provided installed materials to contractors in Southeast Virginia and Eastern North Carolina. For much of that time, the company manufactured custom cedar, cypress, pine, and mahogany doors.
In 1991 Milton Hobbs and his wife, Karen, moved to Hephzibah, GA to be closer to her family.
Today the sons are in three locations and Hobbs Door Service is serving parts of Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.
